The suitcase has become very important to
Ms. Wilson in her recent work. For this gentle young
woman, it embodies duality. It is a symbol of both transition
and the desire for security, of both departure and arrival,
both leaving things behind and bringing things with you.
It becomes the tangible form for stability, while the
human figure, in the installed Waiting Part II, is the form for
transience, instability, impermanence and insecurity.
Photography from 2007 OCAD Medal Winner.
Custom prints in limited series.
